How to get hired with little or no experience in PM?

I recently obtained my CAPM in January of 2019. I can't seem to find a job even as a Project Coordinator because of lack of experience. How do I gain experience if I can't get hired?

Chicken and Egg story . I would suggest

1) Trying to find a job in a profession that you have prior qualifications for and then try to find projects or opportunities within the firm that you are employed in .
2) Trying for volunteer Project Management/Coordinator opportunities with your local PMI chapter

We hired someone on our team with no experience as an apprentice. It was on a trial basis with a 6-month probation and was something our company had never considered before. This was attractive to the company because we were able to hire someone at a reduced wage compared to someone with experience and we thought it could be an asset due to their lack of experience, they were a "blank slate" to be trained to do things in a way that works best for our company. It turned out to be a win-win and this person is now a valuable team member with over 5 years of experience.

I did wonder if I could do that, but still not sure how to find a company open to the idea.

Check with your local chapter for volunteer opportunities if you are not able to find a current opportunity. I understand this is a problem everywhere and it is sometimes challenging to find an employer who is willing to invest in fresh graduates. Try also targeting big companies who have programs like Graduates Under Development.

I did wonder if I could do that, but still not sure how to find a company open to the idea.
