I noticed yesterday that the influence number was not longer showing on my profile. It's not just me? Did they take them away because they were tired of us trying to guess the algorithm? :)

Hi all - the calculations haven't changed. Our dev team is working to get the database back up and running so the numbers may be a bit off until it's fully up again. Thanks for your patience and I'll let everyone know once it's back up and running!

If it means anything, I actually found it a nice addition :) to not have the influence score. I noticed a couple of days ago. Thought it was a change overall to remove entirely.

"It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars and so on -- whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man -- for precisely the same reasons."
