People who wrote the article do not understand what AI really is.

Agree with Sergio, but AI will ultimately have a role to play. We recently stood up a new division for data analytics in preparation for what is on the horizon. Using AI for data analytics is happening now, and there is no reason that those that have the data at hand should not be using AI.

The administrative and "hard skills" side of PM might get automated more and more over time, but until human beings are ready to be led by machines and not by other human beings, the soft skill side of PM will continue to be crucial to project success.

Machines like autonomous automobiles are here. Many automated "driverless" features are already incorporated into many cars. People will be lead by "machines" more and more in our rapidly advancing society whether they like it or not, but one just has to look at the Boeing 737 disaster to see what happens when humans are lead by "machines" to an extreme.

Worry, to some extent. We need to learn AI knowledge and utilize it and adapt to changing environment and redesign of jobs. Agree with Kiron that the soft skills will continue to be crucial to project success.

Sooner or later, this is going to happen. And this change is not specific to the field of Project Management. Personally, I feel that the 'Strategic & Business Management' and the 'Technical Project Management' skills would be more vulnerable compared to the 'Leadership' skills.

How companies manage innovation and the risks associated with it are becoming critical. Those that choose not to will likely stagnate and ultimately fail. No doubt there will always be a role for human leadership, but this is the first time in the history of mankind that AI will perhaps rival and exceed certain aspects of the human mind. I agree though with your statements concerning management skills, at least for the short term.
