Are there any sites dedicated to system implementation (not specific to Software)? I see bits and pieces but the majority of the sites I go to strictly deal with Software. I understand that SDLC can be a good starting point to create a systems lifecycle but I would like to talk to others in the same boat from a systems stand point.
I'm not having any real issues, just looking for advice on certain aspects of PM as it relates to system imp. Saving Changes...

How about checking quality standards like ISO, ....
The type of system you're dealing with might be relevant. If it's computer-related infrastructure, you might as well take a look at the ITIL recommendations. Even if classically focused on operation, maintenance and concepts as Service Management and Delivery, the broader set of best practices also gives good recommendations on implementing new systems.
If the scope is more of an industrial system, aircraft system, or anything of a similar complexity, you could also pick up the recommendations from CMMI for development, which (even if they look like it) are not uniquely focused on SW development.
I recommend checking out the PMI IT&T SIG. They deal with hardware and telecom issues in project management. They have a great board; call them up and you may get additional ideas.
Don't really want to toot my own horn, but my book is all about system implementation for package software. It skips the software development stems. Saving Changes...
