what are the different roles in a cloud migration project

Dear All,
What are the different roles like Security Architect,BA etc. required for deciding a cloud migration strategy(type of cloud, deciding on cloud service provider etc) and for executing a cloud migration project?
Ideally, all stakeholders experienced/knowledgeable about the legacy systems plus an experienced team of cloud engineers.
But the real answer is: "it depends" on the company's goals. It depends on many factors, as the size of the project or programme, the type of the environment you are working on, compliance requirements, allocated budget, environment technologies, the cost/benefits the business is looking for with cloud, and so on.
There are factors to be considered, like whether the applications are "cloud ready". You ideally should have experienced developers/analysts to evaluate whether the target systems are ready to be migrated as-is to the cloud or partial/complete re-coding would be required.
Compliance plays an important role depending on the industry/country you are in (or the data stored is...)
Apart from the right people for the migration, you better consider training or hiring people for the operations later on. On premises engineers are not always open minded and the right people to manage cloud based environments and new technologies that come with it.
Changes in processes, RACIs, there are a LOT of fun :)
There is a nice book called "Ahead in the Cloud", written by Stephen Orban, Global Head of Enterprise Strategy at AWS.
Really recommend you to have a look at it.
All the best on your migration project.
Best regards,.

It can vary depending on the exact nature and the corporate policies. You can get away with very few people or you could need a lot of people.
Possible Skillsets: - You want someone who understands the networking and cloud side of things. Like a network architect. Cloud architect, - You probably want someone who knows something about the environment you are migrating to - AWS, Azure, or some company made system. - You could need someone who understands databases - especially if they are going from an onsite situation and are completely changing things like what happens if the database fails, data recovery, backups. This area can get complex, having someone who understands the database could be very helpful. - If you are moving applications, you probably want some SMEs involved. Someone who understands the application so they can test when finished, someone who understands how the application is currently set up to work, someone who knows what it should look like when it is done.
