What cheaper tool or software do you recommend for managing, monitoring and reporting agile development projects, epics, stories, sprints, backlogs?

If you have a co-located team, why not go "old school" with stickies on a whiteboard - that's the cheapest solution you could ask for!

Kiron brings up a great perspective. I just recently had a conversation with the team on the simplicity that could be garnered from using whiteboard and post-its.

I have a project where we are using Azure Dev Ops (ADO) which is a cloud version of Team Foundation Server (TFS). Works well. Comparible with Jira, though, ADO has a capacity functionality built-in.

Joseph,

I concur with Kiron and Andrew if you have a co-located team regarding opting for a whiteboard if budget is a concern. In fact, using a whiteboard is my first step when training any new Agile teams regardless of methodology because understanding the tangible aspect trumps what any software can mimic.

If your team isn't co-located but you still need a budget friendly solution then I suggest Trello.

JIRA isn't really that expensive when it comes to project management platforms or tools unless your team size is in between tiers. How many teams or people are you looking to support?

In our organization - we work on Servicenow platform and since all developers, testers are already having Servicenow logins, we enabled Agile Development plug-in on the platform. This is yielding good results for us in terms of planning, tracking and visibility of the ongoing work for all stakeholders.
