Is anyone out there using cumulative flow diagrams for planning/forecasting? I understand how any why they are valuable, but can't quite get my head around why you'd use that in place of one of the more traditional tools to get the same information. I am probably missing something, but it just seems like using earned value might give a more concise prediction.
