For getting a job it is probably not as helpful as the PMP, since still many companies do not understand what programs are and why they should pay more for a program manager.

For enhancing your personal competencies and self confidence it is extremely helpful. This might lead to better job opportunities as your attitude changes, not so much because of the additional knowledge. It will definitely lead to better projects.

So ask yourself: are you primarily in a job to make money or to have a passionate life.

My guess is that PgMP is three times as hard as PMP.

Thanks Thomas for sharing your views, as per my understanding whatever we do for a couple of things: 1. To gain more knowledge and understand global standards this will help to get a better job and salary 2. About passionate about life is the last priority for most of the people and also who has all the luxury of life from childhood and he/she passionate to do something in their life as per their interest.

Also, thanks for indicating, PgMP is three times harder than PMP, this will help aspirants to plan in advance and prepare it well if they willing to pass it...
