It's about being agile and not just doing agile. How the best practices of Agile approach or philosophy can best be aligned with existing mindset without pushing but embracing them. Saving Changes...

Key point is to understand the definition of Agile: is a way of thinking and behave with focus on client, value and quality. The reason to use Agile is to gain into agility which definition is: Be able respond to a wide variety of unexpected external surprises and create external surprises.Being agile will assist businesses who face unpredictable circumstances. Are those my definitions? Not at all. Are the definitions create where Agile was born in 1990. With that on hand you have to transform the enteprise architecture to be aligned to that. In fact, inside that place, the framework for creating Agile based enterprises has been stated. Search for Rick Dove“s work due to Rick was our program leader on the forum where Agile was born. I agree with you Sergio but at the same time Agile is also about behavioral change which I believe starts from top to bottom:)

Behaviour is one of the variables that belongs to business layer inside the enterprise architecture. Dependin on the model you use to understand the business layer (we use Tom Peter“s Seven S) behavour belongs to style and shared values variable. So, it is not from bottom or from top, is a coninium. In fact, could be said that is more from top because those variables must be aligened to strategy where strategy is the way organizations answer to environment.

1. There is no such thing as a best practice. Practices are good or bad depending on the context of an initiative.
2. You cannot be agile WITHOUT changing mindset. But how you change mindset is through practice, coaching, and support.

Agile at its core is a mindset, we need to strive to get ourselves and everyone in the organization in the right mindset for Agile achieve maximal results. Ideally this mindset grows at all levels: top, middle, and bottom.
