Can I do both PMP and Program Management with the difference of a year?

I am an experienced program manager, and I want to perform my PMP exam this years and next year take a PGMP, is it acceptable?

Yes why not? In fact you are allowed to take any two exams as and when you wish.I am assuming that you have necessary hours for the PMP and PgMP as per the requisite handbook.

Yes. It is possible to do PMP and then PgMP in the following year. I have helped many who have passed both PMP and PgMP in the same year.

You need to be aware of the changes happening to the PMP this year. New PMP ECO is released. Now project management methodology is getting evolved. So PMP exam is changing after Jun 2020
