I don’t know if there is one thing that is “most rewarding”, but here are some things I enjoy:
- Providing hard and soft value to an organization
- Bringing a project in for a landing amid a threatening storm
- Collaborating with teams/stakeholders and being part of something that is transformative
- Impacting lives interpersonally
To name a few.
Hi George: I really like these and agree with each of these. On a side note, I appreciated the wording of this sentence - Bringing a project in for a landing amid a threatening storm. Are you a writer? Saving Changes...

Hello Sergio. You don't expect rewards? There aren't things that bring you enjoyment or gratitude in your role as a PM? I probably could have posed my question better, because I believe you probably do! Saving Changes...

Successfully completing a project while having a good bonding with the project team; so good that whenever you see them anywhere in the office, there'd be smile on their faces and they would ask you "hi; when are going to have another project?"
Hello Robert: It sounds to me as if you really enjoy creating relationships that go well beyond the life of the project. I can definitely relate - its those personal encounters that mean so much. Saving Changes...

I actually have two or three items that I feel are the most rewarding in my PM role. First, the constant learning of something new every day, even 40 years into my career, is very rewarding. Second, supporting executives sponsoring the project by being a consultative partner and making them look good when a project goes live gives me great satisfaction every time. Finally, just delivering on a long project with many resources is probably the most rewarding. All the pain, overtime and hard work the team put in coming to fruition...I feel proudest at that moment! Saving Changes...
