CAPM

Hi

I have been reading the threads related to PMP and CAPM in this website. Thanks for sharing all the info.

I have more than 8 years of experience and mostly into development work. Planning to go for PMI. but since i don't have real PM experience, I would like to go for CAPM.
When i browse the information about CAPM handbook from http://www.pmi.org/CareerDevelopment/Pages...ntialsCAPM.aspx it says it requires 1500 hours of professional Project management experience.

I would greatly appreciate if someone clarifies this?
