Hello,

I am currently preparing the PMP exam and so far the PMBOK Guide Sixth Edition is my new Bible.

Do you have any tip on:
- Study plan: the one I have follows the summary of the PMBOK but I am open to suggestions
- Most important things to know,
- Common traps.

I thank you in advance for your kind advice and wish you a great day.

Regards,
Lise

Hello,

I passed the exam earlier this week and this is the approach I took

Study Material:
- I read the PMBOK Twice in detail (not skipping anything), I then skimmed through it a third time the week before the exam. (it does seem a lot but once you understand the different knowledge areas, it doesn't take that long to read)
- I read the Agile Guide which came with the PMBOK, it gives you a good summary of Agile - which you should know for the exam.
- I read Rita's book once to get the details from an exam prep book perspective
- I did the Udemy Course for PMP. It was a good change to see a video explaining all the information instead of reading

Sample Exams/Questions:
- All 8 sample exams from Prepcast
- All questions in Rita's book
- Sample exams in Udemy's course
-Free 200 sample questions from Oliver Lehman
- My sample exam scores ranged from 75%-83%

The questions helped me test my knowledge but keep in mind that the questions in the exam won't be as straightforward as they are in the sample exams. But as long as you have a good understanding of the material you will be fine.

I would recommend having a good study plan. I studied for around 2 months but I feel if I had created a good study plan initially, I could have possibly given the exam earlier than that.

Congratulations, dear Nidhi!

I am impressed you could do this in two months, that's a great achievement.

Thank you for posting your tips, I am sure they will be helpful to other people who want to pass the PMI exam.
