Dear ,

i have scheduled my exam for 30 July 2019,

I would like to know for PMI RMP upcomming exam whether the refrence is from PMBOK 5th Adition or 6th Edition.

To put it in more prespective, in RMP exam shall i answer questions based on 5th Edition PMBOK or 6th edition PMBOK.

As you are aware that one process group is added in PMBOK for risk management (Implement Risk Response) and one editional response is added to resk response planning (Escalate).

Insight from members who have recently completed thier RMP is much appritiated

looking forward for your timely reply.

Regards
Mohammad Ahmed Khan

Mohammad -

The current RMP exam is still based on pre-PMBOK Guide Sixth Edition material, but I'm sure that PMI will announce at some time in the near future that they are starting the process to refresh the exam based not only on the Sixth Edition but also on the new Risk Management Practice Standard.

With a 30th July exam date, you should be fine sticking with the previous edition as one of the references.

Ask for clarification from PMI. You may probably find the resources on the website.

Abolfazl is correct. You need to check the PMI exam study guide. You will see that there are more knowledge areas than just risk management. I took mine in 2016, when stakeholder management was brand new to the PMBOK Guide. If I hadn't checked the study guide, I would have missed a lot of study material.

As far as I am aware, the RMP exam did not change yet and it is still based on the PMBOK 5th edition.
