Hello everyone,

Do I need separate PDU's per each accreditation?

For example, do I need to earn 90 total PDU's if I have both the PMP and PMI-ACP accreditation or can 60 PDU's that I earn for my PMP be applied to both accreditation?

For the most part, PDUs can be applied to all the certifications you hold, but when it comes to training offerings, sometimes there will be ones which are directly applicable to one certification but not another.

In such cases, you want to check with the training provider as to which certification they apply to and the breakdown of PDUs across the Talent Triangle.

Often, a matrix of various certifications and the PDU value is provided to assist with calculating and submitting. Generally, you'll find there is overlap.

As Andrew and Kiron pointed out, PMI allows for PDUs to count for more than one certification. Usually, something that counts for my PMI-SP or my PMI-RMP will also count for my PMP. The reverse is not always true.

As well, something that counts for my PMI-SP will usually not count for my PMI-RMP.

When I have to manually enter my PDUs, I apportion the amount of the PMP PDUs that are valid for my other two certifications.
