Is there a PDU Reporting grace period? (DOH!)

3 years have gone by fast, and it just dawned on me that the last day of my PMP license is tomorrow, July 21st.

While I've done pretty well on keeping up on my PDUs, I still have just a few of the education variety to enter. I can easily tackle the requirements in a few hours today by watching webinars on projectmanagement.com, however, they might not be reported by to PMI in time.

Since these PDUs are autoreported by pm.com to pmi.com, I'm wondering if there's a reporting grace period of sorts for the delta. My default will be to auto report them manually.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this for me.

You general taunting for my getting myself in this situation is also accepted.

Hi Carina, I pass by a similar situation with pm.com autoreported PDUs but just for a few ones. You can read articles and report it manually, for example 15 minutes reading is equivalent to 0.25 PDUs. In that way you can complete that last pending PDUs and not wait the time finish.

I do not know about grace period. Perhaps it could be good to send an email to customer care. Trying to add something to @Emyra comment go for webinars but search for those webinars that will add you the PDUs in the area you need it.

Carina, you will be fine, don’t worry. If you complete your PDU’s today and they are reported later that’s fine, they will be reported with the date you earned them but you can also enter them manually if you are very concerned, this is also possible.

As for the grace period, please refer to page 17 of the CCR Handbook: https://www.pmi.org/-/media/pmi/documents/...ts-handbook.pdf

In case you did not accumulate your PDU’s in 3 Years, you will be out on 1 year suspension before you completely lose your credential so in all cases you will be fine.

Hope this helps !

Thank you Emyra and Sergio.

I've since watched sufficient webinars. I think I'll just go ahead and add them manually today. The problem in doing so results in duplicate records when they are then later autoreported by projectmanagement.com. I'll let them know, but sending the email to customer care.

Thanks again!
