For me it would have to be dealing with so many different personalities that exist when managing all aspects of project. As one size does not fit all, you must measure your approach according the different audiences that you are engaged with. Gaining and maintaining this skills can takes many years to accomplish. Networking and building you network of contact so that you can rely on when need also requires similar skills especially when you rely on you professional network for building your project team.

Success is not attributable to just one skill as projects are complex creatures. And this is true for many professions, not just project management.

Rather it is knowing how to apply the collective strength of many skills according to the needs of the particular project, dealing with the customer, project team, culture and stakeholders.
