With over 60 million Americans reporting they have experienced bullying in the workplace, do you believe this could possibly be part of the reason so many projects fail? If so, how?

I try to separate behaviour from people. That's why I usually avoid using labels such as bully. Instead I would talk about a person with a bullying attitude or behaviour. This allows us to focus on what's important: the misplaced behaviour. I understand most socially unacceptable behaviours are rooted in fear. (With the possible exception of psychopathy.)

One of the most pervasive form of bullying is passive-agressiveness. It can also be the most difficult to spot and address.

I do believe bullying actually happen, but that’s not a direct cause of project failure
