The myths surrounding the compatibility of CMMI and Agile have recently been debunked by SEI. Despite the perception that CMMI best practices and Agile development methods are at odds with each other, new research suggests just the opposite train of thought. In fact, CMMI and Agile champions can benefit from using both methods within organizations - with the potential to dramatically improve business performance.
Thanks for the refernce Myroslava. It eliminates lot of misconceptions about both CMMI and agile methodology. Most of the misunderstandings have been driven due to the lack of accurate information which has led these two are perceived to be at odds with each other. Another important point which is emphasized is CMMI being just a model to implement not a standard to apply which makes lot of sense in this context. Saving Changes...
