In traditional project execution models, project performance goals are required to be revisited based on the indicators the metrics identified for the project reflect. The revisit of the goals quite often requires us to revisit our estimation guidelines as well(esp when we follow estimation methodologies typically complexity based/experience based estimation which do not involve functional sizing) . Since agile is a model where the individual project team members give out the estimates for a story/task, we are quite often misled to believe we need not have an estimation baseline/guideline because it can bias the individual's estimates. A typical challenge in the absence of a guideline could be where we are not able to reuse the learning of the metrics and the indicators it can give. I want to use this forum to understand how we will be able to establish guidelines for estimates in an agile based scenario. Ideas invited!!! Saving Changes...
