Both the PMBOK and Rita guide are quite fruitful in content.
To me I spent more than a month.

In my case, I completed a preparation course in the first week of November 2017 and took the exam at the end of January 2018. Also, almost three months of thorough preparation.

6-months in total. Depends on the person and the time able to dedicate. It's not a race.

I have studied for several months and I do mean "study" here. That means I have not only learned to pass the exam but studied all the knowledge stuff to become a better and more professional PM.

If you only want to pass the exam (sometimes there is a demand, therefore) than you can do it in 30 days or I even heard from some people that they have managed it in 10 days (fulltime I guess).

However, it does not really matter how long it takes and that is also dependent on several factors like pre-education; pre-experience; available prep materials and so on.

Well, a lot of experts say that you do need between 80 and 150 hours of learning and practicing to achieve the level for passing the exam.

That leads to a study plan of about 12 to 14 weeks in most cases.

It depends on your schedule. If you are the busy type, you can have a plan of about 16weeks

Read in-between your lunch hour and after work for about 2hours everyday. Give yourself target and ensure you practice many questions before the exam.

It took me 5 months in total from when I took the classroom prep course until I passed the exam.
It could surely have taken less time if I didn't have to prepare in the midst of many other activities.
