Can anyone please give me some idea of tools which a project manager uses to maintain the complete execution of a project. I have basic knowledge of jira and have worked on Microsoft excel when i was a team lead. Will learning Microsoft Project server help in further enhancing my skills as a project manager. Also, can you please suggest few other tools which will be helpful in today's IT industry. Saving Changes...

I use Smartsheet for our office. It was purchased a few years ago and I've been working in it ever since. In the past I tried MS Project, MS teams, VISIO, planner, excel, word, outlook, findtime, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Webex. I mean, what else is there? Smartsheets is by far the best all in one tool. I am using it to take notes, track project progress and I provide a high level dashboard to executive leadership. We have just started tapping into the resource allocation capabilities. I use it to show timelines and to keep important links and training documentation. If you decide to purchase a license, i would suggest going through the training videos and becoming certified. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me on here or LInkedIn. I have a great online presence. Relying to this post will send me an email. I hope this helps!

MS Office tends to be the most popular choice for most PMs.

Having experience with a variety of tools certainly is helpful, though comes a point when it is simply a matter of learning a new tool. There are so many out there. No one is expected to know them all. That said, the learning curve is relatively light as they all basically do the same thing. Having some basic knowledge of MS Project is helpful. There are lots of resources for that.
Different organizations use different toolsets. Seemingly tools on the Microsoft stack are predominant, but with more and more organizations willing to move to the cloud, other options are becoming more prevalent. Saving Changes...

I'm a big believer in using what you have at your disposal. Sometimes it means digging deeper to really learn all the functionality and features. Knowing Microsoft Office, in and out, has often saved my bacon. Saving Changes...
