Position: Project Manager

Location: New York, NY



Job Description

The Project Manager role is a critical element in delivering our services to clients and ensuring successful client experiences that are consistent with Venda's high standards.

Project Manager responsibilities include managing US project implementations to ensure successful delivery (on-time, on-budget), as well as ownership and continual improvement of the implementation process. Project management is frequently involved in the proposal and contract stage of Venda's sales process, but becomes wholly responsible for the client and the project throughout the full project lifecycle from planning and design through launch of the e-commerce site.

The Project Manager’s responsibilities include:

· Obtaining functional requirements for client site implementations

· Coordinating creative and usability design for new client sites

· Managing all client communications

· Administrating all tasks, timetables, budgets, deliverables documentation

· Coordinating development, integration and production tasks with London- and Bangkok-based technology resources

· Managing client and management expectations

· Providing quality control across all projects

Experience Required

· At least 2 years’ commercial project management experience, gained in the eCommerce or Retail sector.

· Successfully managed the external customer during the development and delivery of software development projects (at least one man-year in size).

· Successfully delivered concurrent software development projects.

· Experience of managing customers through the implementation of a system with restricted functionality (i.e. package implementation, not custom software development).

· Created and delivered effective, pragmatic, timely and cost-effective solutions to business issues and user requirements.

· A track record of successfully managing difficult and demanding customers, and turning unhappy customers to satisfied ones.

· Knowledge of project life cycles and strategies.

· Educated to degree level or equivalent.



Skills Required

· Formal project management process and methodology

· Project management and customer support/management in a fast-paced and intense environment

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects start to conclusion on-time/on-budget

· Extremely organized, diligent, detail-oriented and self-motivated

· Excellent administrative skills

· Able to understand and work with both the ‘big picture’ and the low-level of detail

· Willing to work hard and put extra effort forth to meet deadlines and exceed client and management expectations

· Possess process-oriented thinking and execution

· Exceptional interpersonal skills with client and internal resources

· Excellent writing and communications skills

This position will be based in the Venda's headquarters in midtown Manhattan. Regular office hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm and off-hour work may be required in the normal course of projects. The responsibilities of the role will require periodic travel to customer sites, conferences, and other Venda facilities in the US, UK and Thailand, as well as to additional destinations the Company may designate from time to time.
