Has anyone experienced technical problem during PMP exam?

I booked my PMP exam and arrived on site on time but was told by the test center that I could not take the exam because of technical problem. The test center said it's Pearson VUE's responsibility and refused to provide any support. Then I contacted both Pearson VUE and PMI and was told that they will investigate into the situation. So now I still don't know how things will go on.

I wonder if anyone has experienced the same issue and how it's solved in the end?

Hi, Glad to hear you were able to reschedule your exam. I gave my online proctored exam recently and it went smoothly. You may want to consider an online test if it is still an option. Good luck!

hi, I have similar scenario like Mr.Thangapandi. During my ONLINE exam , i started the check-in process on time, everything is went through well from my side, but Proctor said that my video is not streaming ,so i am not visible to them.They asked me to check the PC about Anti Virus & Firewall and i checked it everything was Ok. They said that they will revoke the Exam session.Due to that my Exam was cancelled and the BEGIN EXAM button was not displayed and i could not take the exam again.In this case, how can i reschedule my exam without pay again?Please suggest.

Hi, please make a complaint in Pearson customer care through phone or chat ( they will take more time to answer your call, you have to be patience.) Try the chat option,it is better.

Hi, I have sent two emails to Pearson,they are saying that to contact PMI site where i can see only Exam reschedule option with additional fee of $275.There is no option to re-schedule exam for the existing Missed Exam order.

Hi , Today was my exam (PMP) I logged in on time , systems checked and I reached the screen which says your exam starts in 15 mins.. when proctor told me to restart system sue to some issue, so I did and again reached the same screen but this time no Proctor contacted me ..so I called Pearson VUE customer center and then they arranged a proctor who came in 1and half hour late and said that the tech issue is not resolved hence please login from another laptop, As already it had been 2hrs by now I checked if it will still allow me to check-in .. Proctor confirmed it would be fine not to worry.. Guess what it did not.. I was unable to check in , I felt so disappointed.. I called them again they said they will resolve the issue .. but they never called me - it was only me contacting them ( panicking) ,
Also now that its year end (how wonderfully I chose the dates) I am worried as I am prepared for 2020 and not for the new PMI changes that will reflect from 2021. I really hope they will help me sooner.

Hi, today was my PMP exam, I did the system check yesterday and everything was fine, however, to day when I finished the check-in, I could not pass the webcam verification section. I could see myself and I had passed the initial, microphone, audio and webcam test. I don't know what to do next.

Can someone provide their experience testing online? BEcause of my schedule and my work, I am unable to take off to take the test. I took the online test through Pearson VUE which was a horrid expereince. The testing software was glitchy, slow, and, clunky, it took roughly 3 seconds from the time I clicked the answer choice for it to register. Then, when I would click next it would take an additional 3 seconds to move to the next question eating up my time. When the system finally crashed I tried to get help through pearson and through PMI, the customer service experience is awful. What have other people done in this case? I am upset that I'd have to pay an additional 270 ontop of the 400 plus dollars I already paid to take the exam.

Christopher, I've heard similar stories from many candidates and this is why I always recommend taking the tests at a testing center, when possible. The only thing you can do at the moment is contact PMI customer care and let them know what happened. If you did complete your exam but failed the attempt then this might be tricky but if the system crashed while you're in the middle of the exam then you might have a strong case.

Can one be allowed to reschedule or retake without paying again for the pmp exams if the proctor cut you off while checking in?
How can one get help from pmi?
