I booked my PMP exam and arrived on site on time but was told by the test center that I could not take the exam because of technical problem. The test center said it's Pearson VUE's responsibility and refused to provide any support. Then I contacted both Pearson VUE and PMI and was told that they will investigate into the situation. So now I still don't know how things will go on.

I wonder if anyone has experienced the same issue and how it's solved in the end?

Wow. So sorry to hear. I'd suspect they'll get it worked out and get you rescheduled. Definitely, tough to deal with getting yourself prepared to then hear you can't take the exam yet.

I had a glitch at the end of an exam years ago. The system crashed after I had finished! I was able to reschedule and resit the exam. It was not the PMP, nor Pearson VUE, but nonetheless, far from ideal. Good luck!

I had a glitch at the end of the exam similar to Andrews. I just completed the exam and awaiting results when the computer i was rebooted. Luckly, I did not have to have to retake the test.

Sorry to hear that.
No worries, you have more time and they will find a resolution.
Just be calm and review the contents.

Thanks for sharing your experience. So sorry about this. Please keep warming up and be ready to ACE it once the issues are resolved.

Is this a local problem ? if not why dont you ask for the nearest available test center?

When I took my PMP exam in 2003, it was only weeks following the devastation left by hurricane Juan on the Canadian Maritime coast. Halifax, where the exam centre was located, was still reeling from the effects.

About two thirds of the way through the exam, power was lost in the subdivision. I was told that I could resume the exam if the power returned in less than hour. Given that I had driven four hours to the exam centre, I was not relishing having to retake the exam. Luckily for me, the power came back 45 minutes later. I completed the remainder of the exam. I passed with a score of 86.5%.

Sorry to hear that Hanwei, I am sure PMI will sort it out but it doesn’t hurt from you to follow up. When I did my PfMP exam with PMI two months ago, it was my first exam via Pearson Vue and at the end of the exam, I submitted my test, I got the congrats then the computer freezes so they had to sort it out in order for me to be able to exit the exam.

Frankly speaking, my experience with Prometric (7 Exams) was a bit better than that of Pearson Vue (1 Exam).

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences and insights.
Updates: I'm allowed to reschedule another exam. Pearson VUE couldn't provide an exam date until end of October though, as they have very limited resources in Sweden and couldn't offer any earlier exam date.
I wish other candidates would not experience the same as I did, and Pearson VUE could handle things in a better way.

No. I almost created one when I hit submit and a survey came up instead of my score.
