Stephanie Haase Propulsion Production Manager| United States Air Force Wichita Falls, Tx, United States
I obtained the PMP last year. Should I attempt Agile Practitioner? Program mgmt? I have a year left in the military. Might as well use up all of my educational benefits. Which is more sought after?

Stephanie,
My undergrad is aerospace (more space than aero) but an aero background is well suited to vehicle integration level/PM work, and propulsion experience is a fairly rare skill. Agile is a better fit in some positions than others, but as companies try to get more efficient, having that skillset can be valuable to businesses attempting cultural transformations and introducing agile as well.

Certifications certainly can't hurt you. A friend of mine is getting ready to retire from the Coast Guard, and one of the things we have discussed is how those external credentials can help show prospective employers that you know not only your prior employers way of doing business, but also more standard practices in the general industry. I picked up a number of credentials later in my career for the same reason.

Very true, I do not have nor could I obtain agile experience. Thank you
The USAF actually played an important role in the development of modern agility, going back to the Skunk Works in the 1940s, to COL Boyd and Boyd's Law, to Jeff Sutherland's early experiences before co-founding Scrum. You may not have been on an "Agile Team," but you've probably been exposed to some principles or practices that you can build on. I guess the question is what you want to do when you transition out. If you like problem solving or product development, then Agile training might be fun for you. But perhaps you should scan the job boards and find positions that look intriguing, then see what sorts of certifications they're looking for.
