Annual Company Budget Process

Now that we are past Labor Day, most companies on a calendar Y/E will begin the annual agonizing (to internal management employees) process of preparing their annual company budgets for approval by their Boards of Directors before Y/E. I did a search on this site for some example templates to use as a guide to bring a more structured methodology to the budget process over the next 90 days. In addition, I want to recommend that my client adopt the use of either Smartsheet or Asana as their project management/collaboration tool to facilitate this process.
Unfortunately, I was not able to find any example relevant templates either on this website or from either of the websites of the above two referenced cloud-based software platforms.
Can anyone help me?

Hi Jerry. Consider reaching out to the companies directly for demos/PP decks/sample templates, etc. Some companies even offer free trials.

Alyne, thanks for your timely advice. Unfortunately, talking only to junior sales reps at both Asana & Smartsheet has not been productive to-date. These rookies do not even understand what a company annual budget process is. They just email me some generic templates showing expenses by month by cost center with a pretty graph. They do not seem to understand that my focus is on the project management aspect of this process which will likely require input from at least 15 managers at my client with 3 or 4 versions/drafts from all key stakeholders before the budget is completed and approved by senior management.
