I know this is a dangerous question, but I am curious. Is there any feature you always wanted to see in a project management/controlling tool, but didn't find it anywhere?

Indeed a dangerous question. Most tools do possess what is requried to run that part of control, e.g a planning tool, an issue too, collaberation tool, version control etc etc.
What I really miss is integration between the tools> Example
I identify a risk and decide on when the risk will occur. Up to that moment I will contain the risk as much as possible> I would like associate the effort and actvitiies to the risks. When the risk occur there will be mitigation activities. I would like to track these seprate together the contingent activities to determine the costs of the risk and to decide if I accept the risk or will suggest another solution. When the risk is no longer applicable I would like to remove the risk and the associated activites in the plan. Currently I have to mange this myself over tools and creating logs.
Another one is change requests and associated deliverables. Integration between configuration management/version control and planning
Integration of tools will rediuce the effort and improve the quality
Thanks for posting this interesting question and curieus to find out what others think
Hi Gerald, Interesting question, Are you deveolping a PM tool? I would love to learn an specific answer to this because that is what my company does.
Hans, I am 100% agree with you, tools integration is what we all need in order to optimized risk and working hours. Collaboration is more powerful than competition I believe...We have just finished Feng Office-Joomla integration, even if our main idea was to integrate different tools in one software ( like PM, CRM, Team scheduling, time tracking, e.g.) and I wish many others software developers think this way, since our knowledge can go further and faster by collaboration strategies.
