WHat's the most difficult conversation you have had as a Project manager?

I am studying some difficult conversations and understanding different approaches to manage and prepare them. In my case I found difficult to talk about:
1. Fire a team member, I need to prepare very detailed the meeting and avoid extra detailing the situations. in some cases I received Human resources instructions to manage the conversation and make it very straightforward.
2. Dealing with extrabudget or extra-time with the project sponsor. It needs a lot of preparation and the sponsor is always finding a shorter time and less budget that makes the conversation not easy to manage
what others are the most difficult for you as a project manager?
