Given the state of the global economy, how important is PMP Certification in your job search? Is it something prospective employers ask about? Do you think PMP certification helps you stand out?

I never underestimate the value of a designation after my name. I have a graduate certificate in Project Management. My work experience in Project Management covers administrative and financial areas. Teamwork has proven itself one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and I look forward to more of its professional form: Project Management. It is significant to note that the MMS, Masters of Management Science, after my name has little effect on those with whom I work. Therefore, it is what I learned, not the status conferred, in acquiring the designation that serves me in my current employment.

I am currently working in a sophisticated high-precision machine shop as a Project Manager / Financial Analyst, managing all filings on our behalf. While I push paper and not the heavier materials, this position allows me to associate myself with an industry I would have chosen earlier in life had I been better informed.

It is difficult for me to know precisely the value of the PMP from my own experience. Nonetheless, I do know that it would ease my entry into a number of contexts I am intrigued by, but for which have no other background qualifications to enter. In this regard, it could be for me, personally, ... priceless!
