Does anyone know of a mobile application available on the market to help manage action items?
This would include documenting new actions (via voice or typing) and retrieving a subset of actions via voice command. The primary user would be a manager who is coordinating multiple activities and needs to log actions and receive voice alters on the fly. This person would do a lot of work away from their desk or in a car. Saving Changes...

Have you considered the mobile device's native tools? Most of them are sufficiently powerful and integrate nicely with the mobile's voice recognition software. Saving Changes...

@Stephane - I would to use the native tools. I have not heard heard of any successful uses that are robust enough for project management action item management. Saving Changes...

@Bruce - The use case described should be possible with Reminders on Android platform. Reminders can be added with voice and will create a reminder as well. For more advanced functionality life task dependencies etc. look at Casual (https://casual.pm/), which is a nice tool that can help visually link actions/tasks. Saving Changes...

I haven't tried syncing the native apps on my work phone (android) with shared information but MS OneNote works if you want to have a "live" action item list shared by all team members. Saving Changes...
