Resource Leveling using a resource pool

I am using Project Server 2007. I want to level the resources in my project and the resources come from a general pool that is used by all projects. I have been informed that MS Project levels ALL open projects when I level my project, but no one seems to be able to identify what "ALL open" really means. Can someone tell me what "all open projects" really means? Is it all projects I personally have open or all projects that are open on the server when I level? I don't want to impact other people's projects. It is a large organization, so the impact could be large if I do the wrong thing and I can't ask everyone else to set their priorities to 1000, so I can level. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks,

Hi Anonymous,
try to go to activity views, add column "Project" (in italian version is "Progetto", I dont know which column is labeled your one) and see which project has the assignments.
