That looks relatively basic. The graphs look to come from an excel file snipped as an image and placed into a PPT. So long as your maintaining the data, it should be fairly straight forward to then create some nice visuals. There are templates online that look similar that you can leverage. I've actually found great options on Pinterest.

This is what I've used in the past - Project Status Dashboard

Tim -

have you met with your senior leaders to understand what their portfolio information needs are first? Some might prefer a simple tabular format with key qualitative and quantitative data in the columns.

Ideally, such dashboards should be generated automatically based on data which project team members enter for their individual projects within EPM/PMIS repository.

Hi,
100% agree with Kiron. Don't waste time to build something which is not what is expected by people who will use it.
At first double check their expectations.

Tim,

You could search the web for a visual dashboard. So to provide your examples to your senior people to help in the presentation.

The information that will generate de dashboard should be coming from the existing system.

Assuming that the requirements of such dashboard have been discussed and agreed upon with its audience, MS Project offers the possibility of using customized reports, which can be taken to the next step if embedded within a SharePoint environment.

In this case, a dashboard containing inputs such as: project schedule, top 3 risks, top 3 issues, % completed work, upcoming milestones, financial summary (BAC, EAC) etc. can be built.

Hi Tim,

This is nice, and informative to begin with. As you progress on the project, you will on your own realize that some information should be provided and some not. In that case you will continue to refine your own reports/dashboard in addition to the comments you receive from your stakeholders. Trying to get an extraordinary template with tons of information, may take away the learning that you get along the way.

Thanks, yes I have met and agreed the requirements with the audience. I can't seem to access Andrew's link, I'll just make up something in excel then.
