I am trying to determine a re-searchable group of project managers that is a subset of the U.S. and Canada population, preferably, regional statistics. Does anyone know of such statistics?

PMI publishes statistics annually - Pulse of the Profession. It may not spell out the numbers as you desire, but should be able to be extracted and compiled to get a helpful result.

Dear Edward
The PMI must have this information.
Almost every month, PMI Today magazine publishes global numbers containing information on the number of members, and the number of people certified in the different PMI certifications.
Nothing like contacting them for this information

Hi Edward,

You may want to try the department of labor's website. I know they have recent information for different sectors and geographical areas.

Very interesting that Bureau of Labor Statistics, the people who track employment by occupation, do not consider project managers as a separate occupation. The only line item close to project managers was project management professor
