Maybe around 2023 - No one can really tell exactly as it might spread like fire in a wild bush, you never know.

Artificial intelligence is developing faster than you think, and speeding up exponentially.About half of the AI community believes computers will be as smart as humans by 2040.
As Rami said that no-one can say exactly when will become mainstream .

As somebody that are working with that from 1989 including it academic research let me say that AI is a mainstream today and from long time ago. People are now aware on that. For example, fuzzy logic is embeded in refrigerators from more than 20 years ago, bank decision about to credit is based on AI entities from more than 20 years ago, data analysis (one of the components is called today big data) is there from more than 30 years ago. I can extend the list a lot.

I agree with Sergio that data analytics have provided a lot of support for AI models and systems, over the last few decades.

AI-like systems, like AION, have been around since the mid-80s.
