As somebody that are working with that from 1989 including it academic research let me say that AI is a mainstream today and from long time ago. People are now aware on that. For example, fuzzy logic is embeded in refrigerators from more than 20 years ago, bank decision about to credit is based on AI entities from more than 20 years ago, data analysis (one of the components is called today big data) is there from more than 30 years ago.
