If I understand this correctly, PMI Edge is a new website from PMI that provides new project managers with tools and information to help them in their career.

On that website is a quiz. I took it twice. Failed it twice because it's all about agile.

When did project management become so agile heavy? It seems almost immediate even though I think it's been that way for the past several years.

Have you checked out PMI Edge? What do you think?

I did check PMI EDGE. It's a pretty interesting platform. I also did the quiz, which was pretty straight forward.

The PMBOK Edition will contain both the Traditional and Adaptive Approaches.

I have. I don't use it too much, as it is primarily geared toward newer PM's. As the profession expands and consolidates, PMI is recognizing the importance of a wider distributed skillset.
I, and several others from this community, were part of the beta testing pilot panel (I don't specifically remember what we were called)

PMEdge is also available as an app.

The next PMP exam will have 50% questions from the agile field. So yes, PMI is moving towards agile, and the PM market is (in terms of numbers of practioners, not project value). Next ideas are already discussed.

Remember that PMBoK used to include 'good practices used in most projects most of the time' - so it did not include too much upcoming stuff.
