I am going to be taking my PMP exam for the first time. Are there any tips that someone can provide as far as what to concentrate on in my studies Saving Changes...

I used the PMBOK & Rita Mulcahy's PMP exam prep. Once I completed those, I used Joseph Philips uDemy PMP prep class as a refresher. Good luck! Saving Changes...

A lot of us do it for the first and the only time :) [hopefully] . PMPrepCast simulation exams along with reading PMBOK and Rita Mulcahy Twice , is a good recipe for success Saving Changes...
I would read Rita Mulcahy's book first, do the practice questions at the end of each chapter. Then read the PMBOK guide and take as many practice exams as possible. There are many free exams available and PM Prepcast is a good resource. This recipe worked for me, so I am sure it will work for you as well! Good Luck! Saving Changes...

Many here have had success with the combination of PMBOK and Rita. I always recommend to not forget the study and test-taking skills learned back in school though. Also, it is a beast of an exam; 4-hours/200 questions. Meaning, a strong and prepared mind, and body will bring you success.

I'd suggest lots and lots of practice exam questions - score in the high 80's or low 90's on quality practice exams and you'll have the confidence you need to pass the exam.
A prep course will also help if that fits your budget and learning style.
And whatever you do, don't try to read the PMBOK Guide as anything OTHER than a reference (unless you need a cure for insomnia :-) ).
I would go with the recommendation of Andrew. Last minute preparation is not going to help. You should go and take exam with a positive frame of mind.
Best wishes!! Saving Changes...

The day before the exam and the day of the exam do nothing except to take the exam itself. Remember that questions are situational questions and you have to answer what the PMI expect as an answer in the context of the PMBOK, not what you do in your daily life as project manager Saving Changes...
