Hello, I wanted to know how I could get the 35 contact hours that are a prerequisite for PMP certification for free. Are there any recommended webinars or courses that are easily verifiable that I can take to meet the hours requirements ? Saving Changes...

Hi Mathew,
I do not think there are any free ones available, at least, not to my knowledge. I can recommend some that are great for getting the basic information from and have some added bonuses to assist with the study portion for the exam. If you would like these, reach out via Message and I will send the links your way.
Just remember, what you pay will be worth it in the long run :)

The Webinars, Articles and other material available for PMI Members entitle you for PDU’s that count towards the renewal of your certification.
However, for the purposes of the 35 contact hours required for the application, you have to take some sort of a course. There are lots of courses on Udemy of which one of them is PMP Exam Prep for Joseph Phillips. Hope this helps.

Hi. You can usually use the 35 contact hours from any PMP bootcamp. There is also a webinar bootcamp on udemy.com that is really good that would qualify. Best of luck Matthew. Saving Changes...

Hi Matt. Best way to do it is using LinkedIn Learning. There is a PMP Cert Prep course on there by Sandra Mitchell you can do which will count for your 35hrs. But you need to subscribe to LinkedIn premium($20/month) but you can cancel after you complete the course if you want - although I'd advise you to keep it, it's invaluable for both connecting to professionals and also a number of other great courses on there. When you finish the course and complete all the quizzes you can download the certification and submit to PMI as part of the requirement. LinkedIn Learning is a Registered PMI REP and it will say that on the cert so PMI recognise it. So yes, you can get the contact hours for $20, you read it right )) Good luck!! Saving Changes...

Hi Matthew,
may i ask how your study plan and your learning strategy looks like for becoming a PMP?
The reason i do ask that, is cause you will need some kind of PMI/PMBoK aligned course/education anyway.
And you will need a Budget! You cannot get PMP for free, that is for sure.
Maybe your budget is not that high, ok. But you will need one.
And having said this, why not looking fo a course/training that provides you both ... the knowledge you will need to breathe in and the 35 contact hours?
And you can take an online course for instance if youmare that kind of learner, which is much less expensive than a live training in comparison.
Please wright me a message if you like even further guidance on that topic and al other questions regarding PMP preparation.
Remember that the 35 contact hours do NOT have to be strictly for PMP prep training purposes. You could consider courses you have taken in the past on soft skills topics (e.g. leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution) and those would be applicable so long as you still had proof of completion and some evidence of what the content, agenda and duration was.
