I usually recommend the free add-ins for excel. My reasoning in support for that tool is grounded upon the assumption that the upper management regularly interacts with excel. It'd be more convenient to bring the cube in the environment they are comfortable with. This will make it easier for them to slice and dice however they feel. I'm not discounting any other tool.
I have heard of other tools like ProClarity, Cognos, and Biz Sharp(not sure of it's current name). What tools do you use for the front-end and what do you like about that tool? Saving Changes...
