It has hard to say which category has the most impact as the decision will be subjective more than objective because it depends from which angle you are looking at the category from (i.e. What type of Impact we are talking about).
However, in my opinion, the top 3 categories that has most impact in general are:
Health
Infrastructure
Renewable Energy
As for my favorite project, it is Burj Khalifa under Architecture. It is my favorite because I come from a structural engineering background and I've physically seen this project.
A lot depends on your view of current environmental conditions and sustainability. If you believe that we are at a tipping point for reversing the effects of climate change, then renewable energy or technology might be the most influential projects.
The latter has been responsible for some of the biggest leaps in progress which is why it is no surprise that the WWW was #1 on the overall list.
I would fully agree with that ranking given the unbelievable impact it has made - as someone who had been just a couple of years out of university in a Comp Sci program when it launched to the public, I have a hard time believing how much change has been brought about in so short a period of time!

In the Infrastructure category, the Belt and Road Initiative has substantial global influence due to its amount of cross-border projects that bring geopolitical involvement and social improvement. Saving Changes...

- Biotech
- Mobility
- Renewable Energy
- Technology
In each category there are extraordinary projects that have contributed to a different world.
In the perspective of having changed my life, I am undecided between:
- World Wide Web
- Google Search
- Star Wars Saving Changes...
