PMP Sample Question recommendations?

Hello, well I've put it off long enough... now that I have a Master's degree no more excuses exist... I have to hunker down and get this PMP thing (the 4th edition). Another PMP heavily recommended purchasing a sample question/test generator, but he could not remember the company or brand he used. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've found a few: one associated with the famous "rita" book and another online test simulator called simply "PMP Exam Simulation Software" (URL: http://www.pmpexamsimulator.com/). Thank you!

I personally experienced that if you read through different sources the more confusion you will have at the end, I followed PMBOK, RITA and Head first with Rita's exam simulator. It was more than enough, two years back whe I appeared, hopefully 4th edition will not demand much from the participants.
I recommend to follow "http://www.iil.com/pm/" to know on 4th edition changes and good material on PMP exam as well.

Wish you all the best.

Hi, I also found Head First very good - simple and easy to understand. I have just bought some sample exam questions from crosswinds which looks good. I've got my exam in just over a week's time so I'm hoping this will be sufficient!

I also agree. Rita's test information was a great help.

Rita Mulcahy's are good; at least the end of chapter questions are great; Hear the simulation's also good. Oliver Lehman's 175 + 75 free questions are also quite good. I did go through Headfirst and Crosswind sample questions also; Headfirst are somewhat easier though...
And like Digvijay said, too many reading resources could cause 'pain'...I stuck with PMBOK & Rita (?), though I read Headfirst's free chapter on time management, was good. I think the entire book would have been great also; finally, cos I commute regularly, had Cornelius Fitchner's podcast and that occupied my time on the numerous train journeys rather than lugging books around...!.....my two cents!
All the very best (and to Karen also!)!

Hi Ed,

First, good luck in your pursuits! I wrote a blog post on this topic not too long ago, How do I know I'm ready for the PMP exam. In this post, I cover items I used to assess my readiness. I also include some free question resources.

Hope this Helps,
Elyse

Purchased http://www.pmpexamsimulator.com last week, I would recommend it, score of 8/10, I found it very good, passed the exam using it and PMBOK.

Thought I'd let you know that I passed yesterday!!! I got 4 proficients and 2 moderate proficients, so my study seemed to work. I used Head First in the first instance - it is a bit simpler but a great foundation, and then I used Rita's book which was very good and a little more in depth.
Good luck to you for yours!!! There's a lot of study required but I can tell you it feels great when you pass ;-)
