I am learning PMP and how to apply for the examination? What is meant by application submission?

In order to qualify for taking the exam, PMI requires candidates to submit a formal application prior to scheduling and sitting the actual exam to demonstrate qualifications.

You need to submit your application on the PMI website. There are certain parameters based on which your application will be evaluated. Please go through this - https://www.pmi.org/certifications/process to understand it better.
