As you know, in the 6th Edition of PMBOK Guide the Human Resources Management knowledge area was replaced by Project Resource Management.

Do you think that in the 7th Edition, People (and Project Team) should be a specific area of knowledge?

I support the idea of a specific knowledge area for people.

I've always stated that we should never refer to people as "resources". However, as many of the processes are shared for people and materials/equipment, rather than add a new knowledge area, a simple renaming of the existing one OR moving the team related content to the project stakeholder engagement knowledge area would work.

Remember that the 7th edition will be less process/ITTO based and more principle-based and is a full rewrite from the ground up so there may be an opportunity to fix this wording for good!

For me it is not just a word but a set of concepts behind what people, relationships and communication, teamwork and leadership are all about.
