There are lots of books available on the market. I recommend PMP Question Banks and Formula Guides.

Each person learns at a different rate, at their own pace.
I can talk about myself.
To prepare for the exam I studied 8 hours a day for 30 days
I just studied at PMBOK Guide to prepare for the exam
How did I study? By area of knowledge. At the end of each knowledge area I answered 50 questions similar to those coming out of the exam for that knowledge area. Then I studied for processes
Last week (8 days) I did an exam in the morning and another in the afternoon with two objectives: - Gain quick answers to questions - Train answers to exam-like questions

Amit you will probably find as many different answers as there are people on this forum. Everybody studies differently hence use different resources. For me personally, I did not use any book other than the PMBOK and I just read it from start to end. The PMP exam was the most relevant to the real-world of any of the PMI certifications I've done so real-life experience really counted. I recall that I did spend some extra time on formulas and calculations but found a very small percentage of questions on this.
Besides the PMBOK I would suggest to rather enroll in one of the online prep courses. They normally provide mock exams and question sets and some structured programs to reach the goal.

You'll get some replies here, but I would recommend taking some time to perform your own due diligence by searching through this community for similar questions or members success stories - there are certainly plenty of them!
From the many insights you find here, you can begin to formulate your own plan from that fits with your particular study style, but taking those successes from others.
