Does The Toyota style for managing people work? Did improvement Kata work for Toyota, and could it work for another organization? How would it work?

I am writing a research paper, and I am trying to get some results for the project. If your company has used this method, please let me know the outcome.

I worked in Toyota. It works because it is not a style of managing people work. It is a way of life for each person inside Toyota. That´s the key difference. I know you can say me that "well, to do that is a way Toyota manage people" but I do not feel that. So, my recommendation is to write the paper with this basement and perhaps research how Toyota achieve that, how Toyota achieve the fact that each person inside Toyota had "internalized" the phylosofy as a way of living. For people that was born in places like Japan is more easy than for people that was born in South America or the West of the world. I am making this recommendation because for me is very valuable to read papers on the matter you will write.

just like Spotify, the Toyota "method" isn't static. It has evolved over time and fits the context of that organization. While there might be certain patterns which are transferable to other organizations, if you just adopt the practices without embracing the mindset and philosophy behind it at all levels of leadership, you won't achieve good outcomes.

I was so excited about what I read that I didn't stop investigating the Toyota Way:

- Toyota Kata
- The Toyota Way to Service Excellence: Lean Transformation in Service Organizations
- The Toyota Way to Continuous Improvement: Linking Strategy and Operational Excellence to Achieve Superior Performance

If you want to write a research I recommend you go deeper

According to them it is possible to implement "the Toyota style for managing people"

I stumbled upon this thread looking for information on Toyota's Project Management Office as I am also writing a paper over the company. I see it's a little over a year old, but I figured I would take a shot here.
I am having a difficult time finding information on the Toyota PMO specifically. If anyone here has any resources that specifically deal with the PMO of Toyota, I would be very grateful if you could share.
