what is the difference between an organization's vision, mission and strategy?what is the link between an organization's vision, mission,strategy, goals, objectives, portfolio, programs and projects?any insight on this topic will be highly appreciated.

Vision & mission tend to be fairly closely related and I've seen the terms used interchangeably. You could consider them to be the top-most level of the organization's WBS. While vision and mission statements can be time-bound, they don't have to be.

Strategy incorporates the goals and objectives which a leadership team wishes to achieve over a defined time-line - it needs to be time-bound, realistic and achievable. Strategy should trace back to the vision & mission.

Goals & objectives are specific elements of a strategy and our portfolio investments (sub-portfolios, programs & projects) will realize those and should align back to our overall strategy, mission & vision.
