It makes me wonder what experience you put down during your PMP exam application. But aside from that, the "tools" are the knowledge and skills that you have in the profession. Recruiters will look for this in addition to your PMP certification. Other tools that support a project manager (project management software, collaboration tools etc.) will also help.

Thanks Praveen. Over the last year, I have used MS Project, Excel and Jira for project management, and MS Teams, Slack and SharePoint for communication, collaboration and document sharing.
While PM tools which help with planning, forecasting and tracking have been around for many years, the trend over the past decade or so has been towards team collaboration tools which help virtual teams.

If we are referring to project management software, there are many. From traditional like MS Project, Primavera, NetSuite, etc. To new(er) like Jira, Wrike, Smartsheet, etc. There are cloud and on-premise offerings.
To note, I don't know if standards are practices play a big role in this. More so what solution will satisfy the needs of the particular organization.
