Last week I raised a question asking about 2019 Achievements and the feedback received was incredible. It personally helped me get to know my fellow colleagues better and I trust it was the case for others.

Now, what are your Personal and Professional Goals for 2020 ?

Knowing each others Goals will help us support each other as a community. Happy Thanksgiving !

I will humbly take the lead and start with my Goals:

Peronal Goals (They might sound odd so don't laugh out loud):

1 - Saving Money (I truely suck at this) to by my first place. Yes I am still renting and Vancouver Real State is high in the sky. I am rich with my knowledge and the people around me but that won't buy me a place so have to work on a third resource.

2 - Hoping to meet someone and get into a decent and serious long term relationship. Yes, I am still single currently married to my job and professional development so I need to tune this down a bit.

Professional Goals:

1- Get my PgMP and PRINCE2 Agile Certifications.
2- Get involved with Disciplined Agile.
3- Attend comferences in person.
4- Speaking in Conferences.
5- More volunteering.
6- More involved with Mentoring, Coaching and Training.
6- Launching my own website and maybe brand.

That's it for now - Looking forward to hear yours. Cheers !

Hey Rami - Fantastic goals.

I am going to focus on my new career path of coaching. I have a fantastic client and interesting challenges ahead. I'm excited to see where this takes me.

Also plan to continue with my involvement here and with PMI conferences (Seattle?)

Certification wise, it has been a while for me, but know my organization has some budget set aside for certifications, so will take advantage there.

More of the same for me Rami. Stick to the job I am currently in, as I started just a few months ago, and do another year of the PhD. Oh, and I may write a book if I have time.

Sounds like a plan, Good Luck with your new job and PhD. As for the book, you are not allowed to write it alone. I have an idea, will brief you later.

Similar to Sante - more of the same for me, Rami. No new credentials (I expect I'll get the DALSM this December).

I have submitted a topic proposal to EMEA 2020 and will be submitting one once the proposal submission period begins for GC 2020 (Seattle). I'm already lined up to present at ProjectWorld Toronto in May.

No major plans on the personal front other than improving my golf scores and my pool game!

That’s awesome, I wish you all the best of luck. We have to play some pool sometimes, I am very good at it. It was a hobby for me since when I was a kid. Can’t help with golf though.

As for the proposal you are submitting for the GC 2020, is it for a speaker role ?

Cheers

Correct - if I am successful with my EMEA conference proposal, I might reuse it for the GC...

Thanks Rami -

assuming they stick to their published timeframe, I should find out within the next week about the PMI EMEA 2020 Congress. I've never been to Prague, so I'm really hoping my topic is picked :-)
