link between EPC process and project management process group

any one faced distribution of EPC, engineering, procurement and construction in project management process group ?

different organizations for each letter?

I mean we have engineering procurement and construction in EPC, how process groups are distributed? inititation, planning etc within those three parts of EPC?

I mean we have engineering procurement and construction in EPC, how process groups are distributed? inititation, planning etc within those three parts of EPC?

Interesting question indeed, as I am facing the same scenario, as the clear boundaries are blurred and processes are overlapped. On the EPC contracts , the perspective of client is different than that of contractor. Usually For a Client whole EPC contract fall in execution, monitoring & controlling and closing process group. For a contractor usually Engineering can be a Planning Phase where all Projects Plans & Designs are prepared & approved. Procurement & Construction fall in Execution, Monitoring & Controlling & Closing Process Groups.

Dear Asif,
Totally agree with you, however from the client side too, prepraring the SOR & FEED should be also part of the inititation and planining but differently, i think this is good subject to be developed
once again thanks for your feedback
