When someone writes an article or asks a question that you find interesting and makes a comment, do you usually read other people's answers or just limit yourself to your comment?

Hi,

I usually go through all the comments for taking the perception momentum of particular thread. After that decide need to participate on that or not.

This make me clear depth & knowledge statistics of the thread which actually help me to prove my opinion with proper justification of knowledge.

Thanks,

As I mentioned in an earlier thread, I do consider the volume of responses to the question being asked. If more than a few folks have responded, I will just read through the comments and unless I see something which I want to respond to in the thread, I'll hold off. If there are very few responses or I'm the first to read the thread, I'm likely to comment if I feel I can add value to the discussion.
Dear Kiron
Thank you for participating in this review and for your feedback.

Although there are several answers, your contribution is unique.

On the other hand, similar opinions written by others can help to "shed light" on a perspective

Depends on how interesting it is. I cam usually tell in the first sentence.
Dear Sante
Thank you for participating in this reflection and for your opinion.

Is there any special reason not to follow other people's opinions on a topic being debated?

Luis, I tend to comment and participate where I am able to add value. I will typically share my thoughts once in a thread but do subscribe and read other's viewpoints.

I am spending my free time here to learn from people comments. I am participating in two forums only: linkedin and here. So, I always participate in debates that are adding value to me. That´s because I "hate" and I am not participating on debates of lot of people that systematically post questions and discussions with some reason other than add value (my perception).

I typically read all comments before posting because as others have said, I'm interested in other people's perspectives and thoughts. I wish both to learn and contribute.
